This exquisite pocket-sized journal cover features a hackberry butterfly and a pen loop that is a natural-locking mechanism. The original rendering of this design was a scientific illustration of a Asterocampa celtis amid a bramble. Originally a mixed media (colored pencil on mylar layered atop a manipulated photograph of a thicket; this silhouetted version creates a particularly organic look.
 
The leather is skillfully hand-sewn, treated, and adorned with decorative rivets. Each cover fits a 3.25" x 5.5” journal that can be refilled. Pen and journal included with purchase of cover.
