     Growing up across the street from a neighborhood park, I have always been drawn to the acorns and the mighty oaks that lie within their perfect seed pods. I loved raking oak leaf piles and sculpting them into my imagined “playhouse” footprint and gathering acorns to make all sorts of crafty things.
     There is so much symbolism packed into the oak and its acorn; strength, potential, and endurance to name a few. One of my favorite simple but expressive Botangles© is this set of acorns that sport mostly traditional Zentangle® patterns. Join me to draw, shade, and color these beauties that will serve as a springboard for you to create your own acorn Botangle©. The possibilities are limitless!
